Ashfield American Legion Post 245
The Ashfield American Legion Post 245 is currently looking for new members to join our historic Post. The American Legion’s purpose is to support veterans, active military, and their families through advocacy, community programs and mutual helpfulness, while fostering patriotism, responsible citizenship and the ideals of freedom and democracy in the community, and nation. The American Legion serves as a major advocate on Capitol Hill for veterans affairs, providing programs for youth (American Legion Baseball), sponsoring scholarships, and assisting with the well-being of service members and their families.
To join The American Legion, you must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces on federal active duty for at least one day since Dec. 7, 1941, and received an honorable discharge, or be currently serving honorably. Acceptable documents include a DD-214, deployment orders, or a military ID. This is a great way to connect with your Veteran Brothers and Sisters. You can join online at legion.org/join or send us your information at: Ashfield American Legion Post 245, PO BOX 463, Ashfield, MA 01330.
Also you do not have to be a resident of Ashfield to be part of our post. You can be from any town or city in the United States of America. If you inspire and celebrate those who contribute to something larger than themselves then the Ashfield American Legion Post 245 is something you should consider joining, and we would be honored to have you!
