I strongly support Elizabeth DeNeeve, Jeff Diteman, and Adrienne Craig-Williams for the Greenfield School Committee.  I support them for several reasons.  Elizabeth is the current secretary of the School Committee and has played an instrumental role in helping to organize the school committee, has spent time connecting with legislators and with members of other school committees advocating for more funding for schools, and was a leader in the school redistricting effort.

Jeff Diteman is a high school Spanish teacher, has two children in the Greenfield school district, and has a strong focus on getting students engaged in meaningful education.

Adrienne Craig-Williams has a background in finance, is a current math teacher, and looks forward to taking a thorough look at the school budget.

They are running as a slate, committed to working cooperatively as members of the School Committee and with the City Council.  There are already plans to have the School Committee and City Council begin to hold joint meetings, to improve relations and to bring about a cooperative approach to addressing our city’s financial challenges.  All three oppose having a school resource officer in the schools, advocating for more counselors or educational personnel instead, and all advocate for better funding for schools.

The School Committee will be choosing our next superintendent, and I want people who are strong advocates for fully funding our schools, who believe in supporting our children in every way possible to be the ones making the decision about who will lead the district in coming years.  Please vote for Elizabeth DeNeeve, Jeff Diteman, and Adrienne Craig-Williams on Sept. 9, and again in November.
