Among the “breathtaking destinations” that Avelo Airlines flies to, deportation centers are not mentioned on their website. And yet, Avelo has been contracting with ICE since April to run unmarked deportation flights. The people on these flights are there, not because they’ve purchased a ticket, but because they’ve been pulled off the street, often by force and without due process or legal representation. Partnering with ICE in this way makes Avelo complicit in human rights abuses. We can take a stand against this inhuman business practice with our wallets. The next time you are booking a flight out of Bradley International don’t choose Avelo.
