Powers Institute Museum open Sunday
BERNARDSTON — The Powers Institute Museum at 20 Church St. will be open Sunday, Sept. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendants will be on hand to answer questions about the many historic artifacts on display, including a large taxidermy exhibit.
The museum is located on the second floor and is fully accessible. Parking is located at the rear of the building and the lot entrance is located on Library Street. Admission is free.
Donations being accepted for tag sale
NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Historical Society is accepting donations for a tag sale, to be held Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 to 1 p.m.
Donations must be in good condition and large furniture will not be accepted. Drop-offs will be accepted Monday through Thursday on the porch of the Historical Society building at 13 Pine St. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Historical Society Building Fund.
A rain date for the tag sale has been set for Sunday, Sept. 21. Questions can be directed to northfieldmahistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
