8:05 a.m. — Officer is checking on a person sleeping on the sidewalk at Main and Chapman streets. Everett W. Kendrick, 50, of Miles Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.
9:16 a.m. — Reporting party states a Jeep Liberty has been following her around town while she makes Amazon deliveries. Officer handled. Services rendered.
12:43 p.m. — Sequawn S. Smith, 40, of Conway Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Conway Street on charges of cruelty to an animal and possession of a Class B drug.
12:51 p.m. — Report of shoplifting at Aubuchon Hardware on Federal Street. Unknown male party stole a knife on July 9. Report issued.
9:31 p.m. — Caller reports a male party bought a Corona beer and was sitting in the parking lot of Ryan & Casey Liquors on Main Street drinking it before driving off. Located party at his residence. No signs of impairment. Party was informed of the complaint.
Tuesday, July 15
11:51 a.m. — Reporting party on Chapman Street states he gave his number to a female party on WhatsApp and is now receiving death threats. Reporting party was advised this is a scam and was advised not to send any money or personal information to anyone on WhatsApp or any dating website.
1:13 p.m. — Officer was flagged down on Main Street. Parking meter coin door not secured. Appears it was left unlocked after the most recent collection.
1:27 p.m. — Harassment reported at Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail. Two people were fighting over walking down an aisle in the store. Parties were separated and moved along. Peace restored.
1:27 p.m. — Caller, who is working security at Kennametal on Sanderson Street, reports residents on neighboring North Street have been harassing workers who are doing work at this location. Reports she wants it on record in case there are other issues.
4:09 p.m. — Daniel Benwell, 46, of Wolcott, Connecticut, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by asportation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations, possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug after a report of shoplifting at Stop & Shop on the French King Highway.
4:55 p.m. — Reporting party states he lost his machete while working at the Green River dam along Mill Street the night before. Services rendered.
8:06 p.m. — Noise complaint on Armory Street. Report of a fight involving 10 to 15 people. Caller cannot see any weapons. Large group of kids outside playing around, no fighting occurred. Services rendered.
9:18 p.m. — Reporting party states they were swimming at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area on Nash’s Mill Road and the gates were closed. They are now stuck there. Services rendered.
11:44 p.m. — Suspicious male party reported at Lipton Mart on the Mohawk Trail. Just the store employee closing up for the night.
Wednesday, July 16
6:55 p.m. — Hazardous condition reported on Federal Street. Red Ford Explorer with an unsecured trampoline on the top with a child holding it heading toward Beacon Street. Transported. No issues.
8:42 p.m. — Caller reports people on the Greenfield Common are blasting loud music and she would like it to be turned down. Car stereo playing loud music, advised to turn it down.
Thursday, July 17
7:17 a.m. — Party requesting to speak to an officer regarding her husband being arrested/sectioned. Wanted to thank the officers who dealt with her husband for their kindness/professionalism.
8:08 a.m. — Caller states she was driving through the area of the town-line bridge on Deerfield Street and saw a male party leap over the side of the embankment. Caller was concerned for his safety. Party was swimming, no issues.
4:00 p.m. — Reporting party states there is an elderly female on the steps at the John Zon Community Center on Pleasant Street. Caller thinks she may be asleep or has fallen. Response canceled. Party was sitting down, got into her vehicle and left.
4:24 p.m. — Crash reported at Wells and Allen streets. Toryen R. Hadfield, 36, of Fort Square in Greenfield, was arrested on charge of being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant.
9:10 p.m. — Caller requesting an officer respond to Elm Terrace due to his neighbor being manic and ripping up everything in his garden. Ralph A. Provost, 67, of Elm Terrace in Greenfield, was arrested on charges of vandalizing property and disorderly conduct.
Friday, July 18
8:45 a.m. — Trash dumped in the river from camps upstream. Patrol unit on Meade Street. Officer recovered seven needles and a bag of trash from the riverbank.
12:35 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at Swift Cleaners on Main Street. Reporting party states there is someone passed out in the laundromat who has spilled a bottle of beer. Keith Leonard Glover, 48, of High Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.
1:12 p.m. — Report of a raccoon stuck in a dumpster on Chapman Street. Animal control officers responding.
1:34 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a woman who keeps getting into her vehicle while it is in the parking lot at Heather Court who should not be there. States the woman is a “fugitive on the run” and does not have permission to be there. Reporting party would like officers to remove her. Unidentified female refusing to give ID, unable to reach parents. A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on a warrant.
8:11 p.m. — Candace Lee Maguire, 26, homeless of Greenfield, was arrested at Green River Park on Petty Plain Road on a warrant.
Saturday, July 19
1:17 p.m. — Reporting party believes a male party attempted to steal some items from Tractor Supply Co. on Newton Street. Party moved a shovel from a shelf to near the exit. Staff members think he planned to return later to take the shovel. Staff received information on no-trespass orders.
3:56 p.m. — Reporting party states she is at Freedom Credit Union’s ATM on Main Street and the ATM froze, so her card is now stuck halfway in the machine. Bank representative states no one is available with a key to open the ATM. Reporting party was advised to cancel her card and have a new one printed on Monday morning.
Sunday, July 20
12:34 a.m. — Thomas Lee Nielsen, 29, of Devens Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from justice on court warrant.
4:36 a.m. — Caller states a vehicle at the Olive Street Parking Garage has had its alarm sounding multiple times a night for the last three nights. Voicemail left for the registered owner of the gray 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Additional call from reporting party who states the alarm is going off again and would like to have the vehicle towed due to it constantly waking her up.
6:17 a.m. — Car alarm going off again at the parking garage. Additional voicemail left for the registered owner. Vehicle was seen entering the parking garage on July 18, at 8:52 p.m. operated by an unknown female party, who was picked up by a different vehicle. Spoke with operator who said they will be back in town today and apologized for the alarm going off.
5:24 p.m. — Rachel Leonilda Loso, 34, of Congress Street in Greenfield, was arrested on Congress Street on a warrant.
8:31 p.m. — Reporting party from Maple Street wants to speak to an officer regarding vehicle break-ins. Party states someone tried to open his neighbor’s car door during the night. No breaking and entering.
