The New England West Skating Club is offering learn to skate classes in ice skating skills at the Deerfield Academy Class of 1993 Rink.

The Fall I session begins this Sunday, Sept 7 and runs through Oct. 26. The classes will be every Sunday from 4-4:45 p.m., and cost is $200 for the eight-week session. Fall II session runs Nov. 2-Dec. 21. Students ages 6 through adult are welcome.

Each 45-minute classes includes 30 minutes of group instruction by dedicated, professional instructors in the official Learn-to-Skate USA program, and 15 minutes of practice time. Instruction levels are Basic 1-6.

To register for classes, skaters will need a Learn to Skate USA membership. That, and enrollment in the session, can be obtained online through EntryEeze. GTA doubles league

The Greenfield Tennis Association Doubles League’s B Division semifinals were played Wednesday at the Highland Tennis Courts.

The Pickleball Dropouts (Colin Hamill and Troy Skalski} defeated Wacky Wally World (Steve Perry andJosh Michal) 6-4, 6-3. In the other match, Four Aces (Tricia Pancione and Ann Markes) defeated The Leftovers (Jacquie Scott and Rick Metz) 7-6, 6-4.  The finals are set for Tuesday at 5:30 at the Highland Clay Courts.
