The Franklin County Bulldogs Senior Division football squad opened its season on Saturday, falling to Easthampton, 20-14.
Phil Brodeur threw a touchdown pass to Wes Darling while Xaviay Reynolds returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. Reynolds had five tackles, Alden Parker made two tackles and Desmond Dubow had four tackles in the loss.
The PeeWee Bulldogs also opened its season Saturday, taking down Easthampton, 27-6.
Justin Martin tallied 122 yards and three touchdowns, Weston Hobbs ran for 23 yards and a touchdown while making three tackles on defense, Jaxcyn Slauenwhite, Mason Lovett and Xavier McCarthy each had two tackles while Carson Colby and Cody Castine both recovered fumbles in the win.

The Greenfield Tennis Association’s Doubles League B Division playoffs began Monday, with top-seeded Pickleball Dropouts taking down eighth-seeded Number One Seed in the quarterfinals.
Jacquie Scott and Rick Metz took down Fred Range and Ross Grant, 6-0, 6-2 while Steve Perry and Josh Michal beat David Zaccheo and Andrew Varnon 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2). Carol Anderson and Ann Kochis took down Libby Durry and Ken Gilbert, 6-1, 6-0.

Dave Blanchette and Gary Blanchette took first with 23 points in a Labor Day Round Robin at the Country Club of Greenfield Monday.
Bill Young and Pat Grogan took second (19.5), Phil Reilley and John Varner came in third (16.5) while Mike McGoldrick and Preston Lafleur placed fourth (13).
Chris Ferro and Jay Milkey won Flight Two (21) followed by Cliff Porter and Dave Perlmutter (20), Roy Emerson and Brian Luippold (16.5) and Trenton Vielbig and Eric Shattuck (14.5).
Mike Covey and Rich Young took Flight Three (19.5) followed by Jim Kane and Denis Depault (18.5), Cody Ferro and David Murphy (17) and Daniel Bassett and Jim Bassett (17). Jim Hawkins and Dan Finn were the winners in Flight Four (20) followed by Richard Tozloski and Jack Killeen (18.5), Wil Guiel and John Shultis (17.5) and David McDonald and Jeff Neipp (16).
Nancy Robie and Nancy Donoghue won the Women’s Flight (26) followed by Raye Young and Kathy Nicoll (24), Corrine Sysun and Jess Lapachinski (24), TC Emerson and Valerie Esquer (21.5), Susan O’Connor and Diane Carme (20.5), and Gail Miller and Ellen Bitzer (19).
In a match play versus par contest at CCG on Tuesday, Teresa Varner won 2 and 1 while Barb Killeen tied Jane Smith in Flight One.
In Flight Two, Anne Echeverria won 4 and 2, Sue Sigda won 6 and 5 and in the 9 Hole Flight, Ann McHugh won 2 up while June Heideman, Anne Corrinet and Barb Morris tied.
In a Friday Night Mixer at CCG, Terry Blanchard and Ryan Blanchard took first (32), Elizabeth Archer and Mike Archer placed second (33) while Chris Zukowski and Samantha Smith tied with Michele Hazlett and Frank McDonald for the low net (33).
Greenfield Elks
Jonathan Moore and Doug Fontaine took first with 178 points in the Greenfield Elks League at CCG last week.
Mike Ruggeri and Brian Werme tied with James Bozek and Peter Kuzmeskus for second (176).
Joe Ruggeri won closest to the pin on No. 2 (27 feet, 8 inches) and Tom Rogers won on No. 5 (7-0).
