If I had voted for Trump last November, what would I expect in return for my vote? I would expect more job opportunities and higher wages. When we remove immigrants from our country then the jobs they did should now be open to me. What’s more, since these immigrants were keeping wages down by willingly accepting low wages, I should be seeing employers offering higher wages. Are we seeing more jobs and higher wages yet? I would expect to pay less for health care. By removing people committing “fraud” from getting Medicare and making them pay their “fair” share, my insurance rates should go down; shouldn’t they? Are your insurance rates falling? By cutting program after program, grant after grant, letting go of thousands of government employees, well, the feds should be saving lots of money. That means I should pay less in taxes, maybe even get a tax rebate. Is anyone getting money back from the Treasury? If I had voted for Trump, I would expect to be living more comfortably and more secure than ever. If life is not really better in these ways, why would I continue to support him? I can only see racism, cruelty, and hate as possible motives. And that is simply wrong and morally bankrupt. Shame on me.
