We’re still hearing the daily patter of lies, like the firing of the commissioner of Labor Statistics because “she made up fake numbers to make me look bad,” and “Biden allowed 25 million bad people to enter the country,” or “I’ve ended five wars” – the latter at an Aug. 13 press briefing that spilled out rather like drool. The unvarnished Donald Trump is now being revealed as well.

Adolf Hitler, with whom he must be compared, was a delusional psychotic who demanded absolute loyalty and sought national expansion. Observe the parallels – we were betrayed by the Jews, Democrats created inflation, invasion of Norway, military conquest of Greenland, conquering France, taking back the Panama Canal, invading Russia, and making Canada the 51st state. We lose track of which authoritarian figure is speaking.

The problem for Democrats dealing with Trump is this. An enterprising businessman, many would classify as a grifter, decided to run for president, not to serve the nation but as a means to enrich himself. Truly, Trump had neither political interest nor party affiliation. Democrats focused on people’s needs. He allied with Republicans, who  focus on wealth. Personally, this grifter gathers coin by selling Bibles, caps, and shoes.

His racist Maga crusade is to recreate 1950 America, with swimming pools and schools for white Christians only, and where white males make all the decisions. This has appeal for followers who can be convinced people of color want to eat their family pets. This is about power, thus votes. In order to steal the 2026 congressional election, Trump has asked Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott to gerrymander Texas voting districts for five more House seats.

Having shamelessly bragged about grabbing women by their private parts and been convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in a department store changing room, which the judge called rape, Trump’s intimate dalliance with convicted child sexual offenders Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein deserves scrutiny and full exposure. His two close friends were involved in sex acts with hundreds of girls under 18.  Would Trump have simply gone home in the middle of such encounters? His now personalized justice Department may spare his exposure and his politicized Supreme Court would exonerate him.

On Trump’s agenda is alteration of the Smithsonian’s exhibits’ version of U.S. history. These are standard dictator doings. Hitler revised the outcome of World War 1 as a betrayal of Germany by Jews.

Trump’s put-downs of others, a pattern of behavior that, as we know, arises from insecurity, a desire to become larger by making others small, is repeated in mentions of Obama, Biden, and others. Laboring his disordered mind much of his life has been Trump’s desire to seek revenge, to get even with, and punish any and all who have opposed or spoken ill of him. Six months into his term, that lashing out against political opponents, prosecutors, and former associates has begun. He knows from his own hours in the dock, the very process begins a financial punishment

Trump acknowledges Netanyahu’s use of starvation as a weapon of war, but he won’t act to stop it. The Zionist response is to dismiss talk of starvation as antisemitism. Continued U.S. support for genocidal policy – killing Palestinians in Gaza and  the West Bank – grinds toward comparison with the Holocaust.

On Aug. 11, 2025, shortly after a Democratic president, working with the many city mayors,  brought crime rates in major U.S. cities to a recorded 30-year low, Trump ordered 850 National Guard troops into the streets of Washington for policing. Mark the day!

To federalize policing in other democratically led cities is forbidden by the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. Such policing of civilians by the military is barred. To do so will  require the help of his politically biased Supreme Court, but that is this administration’s deep intent. Boldly stated, and making it a punishable crime, is unsightly homelessness, now at an all-time high. Trump’s racist housing will be in jail or concentration camps he is establishing. The longer reach will be to block demonstrations such as occurred in cities across the country in July 2025 . Remember Kent State!

For now, defending Chicago from such military takeover, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker reminds us “that the Nazis in Germany tore down a constitutional republic in just 53 days.” Spelling out his theory about the world’s political systems in the 1920s, famed German historian Oswald Spengler determined “cultures end in dictatorship.”
