I became sad and enraged after reading the article about the six citizens who repeatedly harassed Jennifer Hoffman, Greenfield’s health director [“Hoffman resigns over abuse from public,” Recorder, Oct. 12]. These six people should be publicly shamed for their callous, insensitive, and despicable behavior.
I don’t know Ms. Hoffman well but I sought her advice and input on several occasions and was impressed with her knowledge and dedication to serving Greenfield. I also know that she stepped into a firestorm that we know as the COVID pandemic and took great care in directing staff and volunteers all to keep Greenfield citizens safe and well-informed. She’s a local hero.
I would like to contribute to a “Get Out” fund to move the six ungrateful misanthropes to a dark cave where they belong.
