Three groups join forces to host candidates’ forum

GREENFIELD — The Progressive Blueprint for Greenfield, Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution and the Greenfield People’s Budget will host a candidates’ forum in advance of the Nov. 7 election.

The forum, which will take place at the John Zon Community Center on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m., will only be for candidates in contested races for School Committee, councilors-at-large and Board of Assessors. The forum will also be livestreamed. Organizers will collect questions from the audience and general public beforehand.

City Council candidate holding meet-and-greet

GREENFIELD — John J. Garrett, who is running for one of two vacant councilor-at-large seats on City Council in the Nov. 7 election, is inviting residents to meet with him.

The meet-and-greet will take place Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Four Phantoms Brewing Co, 301 Wells St.
