Walt I didn’t care much for John Bos’ response (Aug.21) to David Goldstein’s fun letter, “Climate change fearmongering must stop” (Aug. 14). Mr. Bos believes we’re doomed because “climate change is a threat to human well-being.”
The real threat to human well-being, of course, is abortion, which has ended the lives of millions of humans. Unfortunately, it’s the weather that keeps the liberals up at night.
Mr. Bos says, “Almost none of us individually has acted as we ought on the science of climate change.” So what does that mean exactly? Should I get rid of my truck and ride a bicycle this winter? Well, I don’t ride a bicycle anymore (and I doubt Mr. Bos does either). And I certainly don’t pay attention to Al “The planet has a fever” Gore or that jet-setting snob, John Kerry.
It’s been a long, hot summer, but there is no climate crisis; and if I said that to Mr. Bos in person, he’d inform me that my “comprehension of climate change … appears to be minimal at best.” The know-it-all Recorder columnist also boasts about being a contributing writer for “Green Energy Times,” which I don’t read because I don’t care about green energy (I’m sick to death of hearing about it, truth be told), nor am I worried about the future of the planet.
What does worry me is that young people are having their minds polluted with left-wing garbage day in and day out. Kids should be having fun. When they’re suffering from “eco-anxiety,” something’s very wrong. But the liberals don’t care. They enjoy terrifying children with this climate crisis nonsense. I do wish the liberals would lighten up since we’re only here for a little while.
