Want to have dinner on the Iron Bridge this summer? The Mohawk Trail Athletic Department is giving you the opportunity to do that.
The Mohawk Trail Athletic Association is taking over the Dinner on the Bridge fundraiser from the Shelburne Falls Business Association, with the event taking place on Aug. 20 on the Iron Bridge. Seating begins at 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $100, with all proceeds going to support Mohawk Trail athletics. There will be a cash bar. The meal will be provided by Bash Catering and served by Mohawk Trail student athletes.

PV Women’s
Amanda Chapin hit a two run homer, Alexis Farrick had two home runs, a triple and four RBIs while Melissa Hersey doubled in a run in Shelburne’s 22-7 win over Goshen on Thursday in a Pioneer Valley Women’s Softball League contest.
Marjorie Rida homered, Emily Loux had an RBI while Jackie Reynolds had an RBI double in the loss.
Sign-ups are ongoing for the Packard Heights Mini-Triathlon, which returns to Orange on Aug. 27.
The triathlon is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the main beach on Packard Pond. Teams of one to three members may enter, though the number of teams will be limited.
The race features a 1.5 mile kayak on the lake, two laps (4.2 miles) of biking around the lake and a one lap run (2.1 miles) around the lake.
The entry fee is $30. There will be a mini-mini triathlon for children of racers or association members following the main race. Net proceeds will go to the preservation of Packard Heights. Applications can be picked up at the Athol Area YMCA or from any association member. Awards will follow the race.
