In all the years of growing up in Athol, I never heard the name “Spooner” and I never saw a stone with his name on it. In studying the U.S. Constitution these days everyone comes up with the theory of “originalism.” According to many researchers there was a four volume treatise on the matter written by a man named Spooner. Accordingly a plaque with his name on it was placed on a stone in his hometown of Athol in honor of his treatise I do not agree with his theory but I suspect Thomas and Savannah might ..But I am curious as to whether it came out of Athol.

Any information would be appreciated.
