Brady Booska and Gabe Mota carded the low round of 67 to take first place in the Spieth Flight in the Kells Junior Two-Ball tournament at the Country Club of Greenfield on Wednesday.
Henry Poissant and Michael Murray placed second (68) while Nate Blanchard and Ryan Blanchard took third (74).
It was Derek Helberg and Sean O’Neil who came out on top in the Thomas Flight, scoring the low gross of 65. Daniel O’Connor and Brayden Fennessey placed second (69).
Blake Waidlich and Liam McDonald took the Fowler Flight after posting the low gross of 35. Addison Regan and James Romanko placed second (38) while Liam Kerivan and Jaiden Lapointe finished in third (53).
K of C League
Ned Nichols notched the top point quota of plus-7, followed by Chet Czernich, Ray Godin and Bob Wondoloski with point quotas of plus-6, in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial on Wednesday.
Wondoloski won closest to the pin on No. 7 (three feet, five inches) while Rod Herzig won on No. 9 (3-2). Bob Bourbeau, Czernich, Ken Adams and Wondoloski won skins while Bourbeau and Darren Lenois shot the low gross of 36.
FC League
Four runs in the first inning and three in the second helped lift the Menace to a 7-1 victory over the Flyers on Wednesday in a Franklin County Summer Softball League contest at Murphy Park.
Kylee Gamache cracked an RBI single while Raine Wonsey hit safely in the win for Menace. Wonsey got the win in the circle, striking out six and scattering just two hits.
Emma Little knocked a double while Brayleigh Burgh singled for the Flyers. Burgh struck out eight and allowed two hits in the defeat.
■ Also on Wednesday, Cassie Dion knocked two hits while Allie St. Pierre, Isabella Liebenow and Kendra Steiner hit safely in the Wolfpack’s 13-2 win over the Bombers.
Franklin Tech League
Four games took place on Tuesday in the Franklin Tech Girls Basketball League, with Madison Zononi scoring eight points while Anna Conklin and Maggie Potter each chipped in seven points to lead Hopkins past Athol, 30-27, in the first game of the night.
Jenna Bonenfant and Anna Duquette each scored eight points, Ava Adams finished with six points, Abby Lutz scored three points and Sammy Mailloux had two points for the Bears.
The second game on Tuesday saw Mahar earn a 38-12 win over Mohawk Trail behind 15 points from Hayden Comeau, 14 points from Nevaeh Scribner, four points from Taylor Paluk, two points from Dakota Cleveland and Haylee Paluk and a free throw from Alivia Patch.
Rachel Pease and Sarah Beckwith each had four points while Bella Pettengill and Irelyn Marcoux both had two points for the Warriors.
In the third game of the night Hailey Hutkoski poured in 14 points, Skyler Steele added 11 points, Claire Kirkendall finished with eight points, Jazzy Hayes and Ashley Taylor both scored four points and Abby Schreiber finished with two points in Frontier’s 43-38 win over Pioneer. Addison Harrington scored a game-high 18 points, Fota N’Diaye, Hailey Ring and Kyler McClelland each had six points and Leah Potter scored two points for the Panthers.
Franklin Tech walked away with a 39-30 victory over Greenfield to close out the night, with Kyra Goodell leading the way with 14 points in the win. Cordelia Guerin (12), Lilianna Inman (10) and Kaitlin Trudeau (three) rounded out the Eagle scoring.
Amber Bergeron recorded 20 points, Anna Bucala and Tayler Bergeron each tallied four points and Gloria McDonald had two points for the Green Wave.
DRIVE League
Caiden Manning finished with 17 points while Max Millette dropped in 12 points as Frontier walked away with an 81-49 victory over Narragansett on Tuesday in a boys varsity game in the DRIVE League at Greenfield High School.
Joe Pinero scored 12 points in the loss.
Later on Tuesday Greg Stone’s 23 points lifted Smith Academy to a 59-48 win over Smith Vocational. Miles Chinappa’s 29 points paced the Vikings.
The final game of the night saw Ben Kearney score 20 points in Athol’s 39-38 nailbiting win over Hampshire. Adam Golowski scored 10 points for the Raiders.
