The Frontier tennis team was nearly able to pull off an upset during the preliminary round of the MIAA Div. 4 state tournament on Tuesday against Quaboag. 

The No. 33 Redhawks won both doubles matches but No. 32 Quaboag won all three singles contest to move on in the tournament with a 3-2 victory in Warren. 

Oliver Brown and Brayden Reipold earned a 6-1, 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles while Caiden Manning and Harry Wright came away with a 6-0, 6-3 victory in No. 2 doubles for Frontier (10-3). 

Miles Keefe fell 6-3, 6-3 in No. 1 singles, Jacob Han lost 6-3, 6-2 in No. 2 doubles while Robert Fuqua dropped a 6-4, 7-6 match in No. 3 singles for the Redhawks.

In girls action Tuesday, Frontier saw its season come to an end with a 4-1 loss to Quabbin in the Div. 4 preliminary round at Deerfield Academy. Full results weren’t provided by deadline.
