I was just at the Town Hall paying my property taxes and I got a good look at the town square’s table and chairs set-up for the warm weather season. Having a central area to sit outdoors in the sun or shade while enjoying a meal or an event is a great idea, but only if it is an inviting area, which, I am sorry to say, it currently is not.
Perhaps the town and local vendors of outdoor furniture and landscaping could partner to get some free advertising and give the space the upgrade it sorely needs with the help of donations from residents and nearby businesses like we do for the fireworks each year. As it stands right now, the space is a bit of an embarrassment given the function it is supposed to serve.
