I have lived in Northfield for 24 years and I am running for the Planning Board in the town election on May 2. I am writing to let all Northfield voters know that I am supporting Sarah Kerns for Select Board because I want someone who will strongly defend our town when we have critical decisions to make. Sarah is a trained scientist, with degrees in biochemistry and psychology. She approaches issues looking for facts, and is skilled at expressing what she learns rationally, based on her research. She is also the mother of five children and has learned what it’s like to raise a family while working and paying the bills.
We are a small town, and we have been approached by outside developers with some big plans. I trust Sarah’s judgment in reviewing these proposals fairly, keeping the residents and taxpayers in mind at all times. We need this kind of talent and tenacity on our Select Board. Please get out and vote on Tuesday, May 2.
