The “cartoon” in the Recorder’s March 11 edition is loathsome. The trans flag is key, of course, for without it, how would we know who the person dancing on the bar is? So we’ll do this: Let’s put a man in a suit on the bar, too. He has a hooked nose and is holding a bag of money. But wait, he could be anyone. So to clarify, we’ll put a yellow Star of David on his jacket. Now we know he is a Jew. Then, next to him, and for the sake of diversity and equality, we’ll put a woman up there on the bar as well. She needs no clarification as her black skin tells us she is African American. Lets put her next to and above our thirsty bar patron. She is kicking up her heels, like the trans person, but she is wearing a skirt. Looking up, this should greatly please our grumpy, thirsty bar patron. He may even forget about his thirst. Just to make the “cartoon” funnier, we’ll give her a slice of watermelon to brandish like the flag and the bag of money. Ha ha.

Does anyone think the Recorder would publish my cartoon? Why is it acceptable to publish the same scene with a trans person as if this makes it funny? This “cartoon” is related to the recent public school one, also filled with hate. Who at the Recorder is pushing these vile pieces of garbage? In the many years I have subscribed to the Recorder I have never seen such trash. Whoever is pushing this excretion must stop! Now. And while we’re at it, why doesn’t this person tell us readers who he or she is? You know, just as a customer courtesy. We do pay for this paper, after all. You can always brandish a copy of the Recorder, just, you know, to identify yourself.
