What a treat it was to read the column about Minerva Parker Nichols, a pioneering woman architect [Minerva Parker Nichols: A barrier-busting woman architect,” Recorder, March 24.] She really broke the ground I have practiced on, 100-plus years later. How astonishing that she came from a humble, impoverished background, but persevered and made it in the newly emerging profession of architecture. I loved the quotes from builders, affirming her expertise. Keep these inspiring columns coming!
