This letter is in response to the standstill concerning Revival Wheeler Mansion in Orange. I live in another state, but have been following owner Cynthia Butler’s progress these past two years. I also had oversight at transitional housing buildings for the homeless and have worked with the inspectors to be sure the annual inspections of the buildings passed. I enjoyed our working relationships with the building inspector and fire chief. It took all of us to be successful. I hope that all those involved will work to make Revival Wheeler Mansion successful by bringing the community together as it benefits all. I grew up in a small New England town and hope those values of helping each other out when needed are still important. The greatest gift as a child was the support of my community. In a time where we’re losing that sense of place, I hope the community can come together and help Cynthia continue to be a vibrant part of Orange.
