9:28 p.m. — Dominick Rodriguez-Ortiz, 28, of Fourth Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, and aggravated assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury. Arrest comes following a report of three males fighting in the parking lot on Fourth Street. Ambulance requested in a follow-up call; report of a stabbing. State Police and on-call detective requested to assist. Police advised to be on the lookout for possible get-away vehicle. Springfield Police took Rodriguez-Ortiz into custody.
9:56 a.m. — Caller on Third Street requests to speak with an officer about a laptop that was purchased for her daughter, but the girl’s father took it for himself. No answer upon two returned calls. Message left.
5:32 p.m. — Report of a deer that was struck by a vehicle on Turners Falls Road near the Montague Bookmill. Deer still in the roadway. Second caller advised he could shoot the deer with his bow, but he was asked to hold off; officer responding. Deer moved off roadway. No damage to vehicles.
