SHELBURNE FALLS — St. Joseph Parish will hold its annual Country Christmas Fair on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Shelburne-Buckland Community Center, 53 Main St.
The fair will offer country-style crafts and sewn, crocheted and knitted items. These include hand-painted Christmas ornaments and home décor, homemade candy and baked goods, antique treasures and specialty gift baskets. There will also be a straw draw and a raffle featuring a $100 cash prize, a $100 Big Y gift card and a $100 Mobil gas card. Health safety protocols will be followed.

CHARLEMONT — Jerry Noble and Tinky Weisblat will present a program of holiday music on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Charlemont Federated Church on Route 2.
There will be Christmas and Hanukkah music. The event will feature Noble’s new composition inspired by Weisblat’s cookbook, “Pot Luck: Random Acts of Cooking.”
Guest stars include Molly Scott and Scott Randall.
ROWE — Patch Adams, a doctor-turned-clown made famous when Robin Williams played him in the 1998 movie loosely based on his experiences in medical school, will present a five-day class with Susan Parenti on how to be a clown. The class will be offered at The Rowe Center from Dec. 8 to 12.
According to The Rowe Center’s website, Adams will teach participants how to be a clown by taking them with him as he brings joy to local hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and shelters.
No experience in clowning is necessary. Participants are advised to bring makeup, hats, masks and musical instruments, if they have them.
