This state has enjoyed a veto-proof majority in our Legislature for far too long, and it is not a healthy situation in our politics. For example, driver’s licenses for immigrants, the tax holiday, every year at the whim of the Legislature, the state surplus and on and on, or when our governor sends back a bill with 17 amendments and 15 get overridden. With a veto-proof majority, no matter what party, there is no need for any compromise whatsoever and that in my opinion is not healthy politics. So please vote conservative this fall, as I am, to help create some balance in our government.
