According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), since peaking in 2007, U.S. CO2 emissions have declined in nine of the past 13 years. In 2020, there was an 11% reduction.
China is planning on building 515 new coal plants as of July 2022, according to the nonprofit Global Energy Monitor. No matter what the United States does to lower CO2 emissions, China’s energy policies will more than offset, and eclipse, any U.S. reduction.
Go ahead and keep driving up the cost of electricity in Massachusetts. According to the EIA, Massachusetts is one of the top four states in the country per kilowatt hour, just below Hawaii, Connecticut and California.
Taking more money out of the pockets of the poor and struggling families coping with the largest spike in inflation in 50 years.
The new energy legislation signed by Gov. Charlie Baker will allow 10 municipalities to legally ban fossil fuel infrastructure in new and major construction projects. Another gut punch to small business and families in this state.
The climate zealots here in the Valley and in the state Legislature keep speeding up the net-zero locomotive but up ahead around the bend there is a looming train wreck.
Just take a look at disastrous energy policies of the European Union or California, the government there can’t keep the lights or AC on after the sun goes down.
Let’s not forget in the U.S., over 80% of electricity is created by fossil fuels.
The climate cartel does not care. If you keep electing and promoting climate activists, don’t complain when rolling blackouts occur or you are forced to turn down your thermostat in the winter and up in the summer.
All the while paying some of the highest energy prices in the country.
