Thursday, June 30

12:30 a.m. — Walk-in reports there are four or five juveniles in front of 25 Fourth St. who continuously harass other individuals. Caller doesn’t feel safe at his residence. Officer spoke to juveniles who denied causing any issue, stated they were yelled at by the caller. Caller in turn advised he was yelled at as he passed the juveniles. Two other juveniles were uncooperative.

11:13 p.m. — Caller at the corner of Fourth Street and Avenue A reports there has been a woman screaming for roughly 30 minutes. Officer checked the area, discovered no yelling or signs of distress.

Friday, July 1

10:01 a.m. — Report of a 2-year-old bit in the face by a friend’s dog on Unity Street. Child was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in a personal vehicle. Animal control officer en route.

3:17 p.m. — Reports of a car on Avenue A drastically changing speeds. Caller witnessed multiple violations and near-accidents. Orange Police had a report earlier in the day of that driver falling asleep at the counter of Dunkin’ Donuts.

9:04 p.m. — Caller reports there were a few men, roughly in their 20s, who were skateboarding over the sculptures near Avenue A, and going in and out of traffic with their skateboards. Last seen heading toward the park. Officer spoke with a group of five individuals who were skateboarding in the area. No damage to property, individuals moved along.

Saturday, July 2

1:14 a.m. — Third-party caller reports an accident on Federal Street, vehicle into a tree. Caller states the woman does not appear to be injured. She swerved to avoid a deer. Medical response canceled, tow requested.

7:31 a.m. — Caller wanted it on record that her neighbor on 11th Street came out of her house, started screaming at her and her husband about stealing things. She reports this is an ongoing issue. No officer response requested. Second caller witnessed the screaming and foul language.

12:25 p.m. — Caller reports a woman came to his apartment on Avenue A two weeks ago and refuses to leave. He states he does not know who she is. Officers report the caller was loud and confrontational, told officers to leave.

8:55 p.m. — Caller states a large bear went into her garage on Wendell Road and got into the birdseed. Caller states they have been trying to scare the animal off, but the bear does not seem to be afraid of people.
