A recent letter titled Charlie and Harry begins with “Motorists generally drive too fast.” Route 2’s maximum speed limit is 50 mph. Many are complaining about the price of gas, so slow down! I often drive at 45 mph, I get an extra 10 mile per gallon of gas. Drivers tailgate me until they can speed around me, I suspect they are major complainers about the cost of gas and blame it on Biden. Forbes reports that in the first quarter of 2022, Shell had record profit of $9 billion as oil and gas prices surged. The same quarter last year was $3 billion. As a personal aside, I have two friends, one in Utah and one in Colorado, both have all electric cars and have solar panels on their garage roofs. They never have to pay for gas and don’t pollute.
