Nature art series comes to Great Falls Discovery Center

TURNERS FALLS — The Great Falls Discovery Center’s free “Art Naturally” series invites the public for instruction on how to use poetry, prose and visual art to create an art piece inspired by the natural world on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Adults, teens and children ages 6 and up (accompanied by an adult) are welcome. Those planning on attending should meet in the Great Hall. All materials are provided.

Pollinators, predators showcased in photo reception

TURNERS FALLS — Photographer Bart Bouricius will present a photography slideshow featuring insects and arachnids, accompanied by a reception, on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Great Falls Discovery Center’s Great Hall.

Carnegie Library invites crocodiles for reptile show

TURNERS FALLS — Carnegie Public Library is bringing in a crocodile specialist from Rainforest Reptile Shows to walk attendees through the lives of crocodilians from birth to adulthood.

The event, which takes place Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., will include a live crocodile showing and a presentation about alligators and crocodiles from around the world. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Montague Cultural Council.
