Leverett school days, remembered

LEVERETT — The Leverett Education Foundation and the Leverett Historical Commission are hosting a gathering of historians, community elders, educators, and Leverett Elementary School alumni and their families to hear personal reflections on school days in town.

The gathering will be held Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m. at Leverett Library’s community room and patio. In the event of rain, the programming will move to Town Hall.

The event celebrates the publication of “10-to-1: Interviews with Leverett Scholars Who Attended One-Room Schoolhouses,” a collection of stories from people who grew up in Leverett, transcribed from a series of interviews conducted by Leverett Elementary’s sixth-grade class of 2017 to 2018. There will be presentations, conversation, interactive exhibits, refreshments and books for sale.
