Many years ago, the bridge between Shelburne Falls and Buckland was used as a trolley track to connect the two towns. Now the bridge is called the Bridge of Flowers. This is just one of many places for tourists to visit in Franklin County each year.
If you want to see so many kinds of flowers and plants — this is the place. Over these many years planters and volunteers have done so very much to keep it beautiful.
Underneath the bridge is the Deerfield River that keeps flowing along until it reaches the Connecticut River. It is a beautiful site along with all the flowers on top of the bridge. Those two towns have much to offer in nice stores and places to eat.
I can see now why Native American tribes used the Mohawk Trail, for it is such a beautiful highway to travel on and what it has to offer everyone.
