The content of Sam Alito’s Roe vs. Wade decision is a slap in the face to all women, not just those that believe in abortion rights. It is important to remember that it has taken many hundreds of years to get the rights women have today, and many women have given their lives for women’s rights across the world. Control of a woman’s body should not belong to anyone but the woman. Abortion should be a private decision made between a woman and her healthcare provider. Politics should not enter into this very private realm, and it is exceedingly distressing to many of us that it is. This is not about infants’ lives; it is about control over women, period. Like I always say, if men got pregnant there’d be an abortion clinic on every corner.
