The state is updating the public access plan for the Quabbin Reservoir watershed. This update however does not make any attempt to address opening up public access to the Winsor Dam or the Enfield Overlook. These two spots are prime sites to fully enjoy the magic of the area.
Access was restricted after 9/11 and has been restricted since. During the intervening decades, I had hoped that the state would have worked out a way to protect the water supply as well as allow members of the public to enjoy the entirety of the beautiful area.
