LEYDEN — Four residents were nominated for two Selectboard seats during the town caucus at Town Hall on Monday, which was attended by around 30 people.
Erik Johnson and Katherine DiMatteo were nominated to run for a three-year term on the Selectboard. Selectboard member Erica Jensen currently occupies the seat.
Nominated for a two-year term on the Selectboard, to fill the seat left vacant when Chair Jeffrey Neipp resigned at the end of January, are Gary Russell and Glenn Caffery.
Lance Fritz, who was elected chair of the caucus, presided over the nominations along with Municipal Assistant Michele Giarusso, who was elected caucus secretary, and Town Clerk Gilda Galvis. There are 10 positions on the ballot in all.
Two positions are available on the Board of Health. Ann Zaveruha was nominated for a one-year term. Nobody was nominated to run for the second seat, a three-year term.
Jack Golden and Lance Fritz will seek a one-year term as town moderator — the position currently held by Katherine DiMatteo.
In addition to Zaveruha, five other residents will run for positions unopposed, including Art Baker for another five-year term on the Planning Board, John Rodgers for another three-year term on the Board of Assessors, Carolyn Asbury for a three-year tenure as library trustee, Vanessa Russell for another three-year term as constable and William Brooks for another one-year term as tree warden.
Candidates must sign their nomination forms within 48 hours. The town election will be held June 27.
