International Paper Mill accepting redevelopment proposals

ERVING — The town has opened the request for proposals process for the sale and redevelopment of the International Paper Mill at 8 Papermill Road.

The 43.26-acre parcel has approximately 6 acres of developable land with quick access to Route 2 and Route 63. According to a notice on the town website, an assessment valued the property at $1,485,200 between the land and buildings. To protect the riverbank, the town plans to divide the parcel and retain ownership of the portion that is unsuitable for development

Those interested in making a proposal must attend at least one site visit, the last of which will be held Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m. The town requests that interested parties meet at the site at 8 Papermill Road.

Those who submit proposals must provide five hard copies and one PDF copy via email or flash drive by Wednesday, April 6, at 3 p.m. Price proposals must be submitted on the form provided at erving-ma.gov in a separate sealed envelope.
