The line chart shows that COVID-19 cases continue to plummet in Franklin County and the North Quabbin region. In Franklin County alone, cases have dropped to 669 from 2,142 in nearly a month, according to data from the state Department of Public Health.

In this two week period, Greenfield remained the most active hotspot in the county, but has seen cases decline by nearly half from 303 to 184. Athol’s caseload dipped to 88 cases, while Montague and Orange also registered declining rates with 86 and 78 cases, respectively.

As cases continue to decrease, many towns in the area have rescinded their mask mandates, including both Deerfield and Greenfield on Feb. 18.

Deaths in Franklin County remained flat, with seven people still dying as a result of COVID-19 in this span.

■CIC Health at Greenfield Community College, 1 College Drive, Greenfield. Website: cic-health.com/stopthespread. Alternatively, call 877-280-2937 or email support@cic-health.com to make an appointment. Unscheduled visits are available, though registration is required on site. Testing instructions are available in English and Spanish.

■Walgreens at 5 Pierce St., Greenfield. Appointments are needed. Those looking to sign up must do so either at walgreens.com or using the Walgreens app.

■Baystate’s testing center, 33 Riddell St., Greenfield. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Call 413-795-8378 to make an appointment. A physician’s referral is required.
