ROWE — Ed the Wizard’s “Magic for Seniors” will be offered at The Rowe Center, located at 22 Kings Highway, on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m.
The show, supported in part by a grant from the Rowe Cultural Council, will include everything from mind reading to coin and card tricks. There will also be opportunities to volunteer.
HAWLEY — The Franklin County Regional Housing & Redevelopment Authority is administering a housing rehabilitation loan program on behalf of the town of Hawley.
The program offers zero-interest, deferred-payment, 15-year forgivable loans of up to $35,000 to qualified homeowners to improve the safety and energy efficiency of their homes, according to a notice from Hawley Administrative Assistant Abigail Drew. Eligible improvements include: roof repairs/replacement, electrical and plumbing upgrades, septic repairs/replacement, insulation and weatherization, accessibility modifications, heating and hot water system repairs/replacement, wells, window replacement and lead paint abatement.
