ERVING — Route 2 is reduced to one lane of alternating traffic this week to accommodate sewer main work.

According to a notice on the town website, the sewer main upgrade process began on Monday and is expected to last one week. A police detail will be present to direct traffic.

The project is part of what Assistant Town Planner Mariah Kurtz referred to as “season-long infrastructure palooza.” The list of improvements, as detailed in a press release from Kurtz, includes six projects that will run through at least November.

“Some of these projects may temporarily disrupt vehicular or pedestrian traffic,” Kurtz wrote. “Your patience and understanding is appreciated.”
