Mohawk Trail’s Mya Lesieur was on fire at the plate Tuesday against Mahar.

Lesieur smashed a three-run home run and added a pair of singles to help lead the Warriors to a 12-9 win over the Senators in a Franklin County League softball game in Buckland. 

Makayla Tatro added a triple and a single in the win while Riley Giard got the win in the circle with a four-strikeout performance. 

Mackinley Drew struck out a pair for Mahar while Keanna Thompson hit a double and Dakota Cleveland singled in the loss.

Mohawk Trail improved to 3-6 overall, 2-6 in the FCL.

Turners 10, Pioneer 0 (5) — Juliana Rode and Holly Myers smashed back-to-back home runs as the Thunder pulled away with a 10-0 win over the Panthers in a Franklin County League game in Turners on Tuesday. 

Rode went 4-for-4 with an RBI and Myers went 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the win. Emily Young had three hits, Hannah Marchefka had a pair of hits and RBIs and Madi Liimatainen, Jade Tyler and Taryn Thayer all hit safely for Turners. 

Tyler went the full five innings in the circle, striking out 14, walking one batter and giving up just one hit — a single to Pioneer’s Aiden Wall. 

Sofia Holden struck out two batters in the loss for Pioneer.

Baseball

Frontier 5, South Hadley 3 — Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, the Redhawks rallied for a pair of runs that ultimately lifted them to another HL West victory Tuesday in South Deerfield.

Jake Dodge singled to lead off the fourth inning, then eventually came around to score on a Shane Prusak bunt single that tied the game. Prusak eventually scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball to make it 4-3.

Frontier (10-1, 8-1) tacked on an insurance run in the sixth inning. Tyler Baranowski singled with two outs and came around on an RBI single from Kyle Barnes, who was a perfect 4-for-4 on the day to lead the offensive effort.

Baranowski got the win, striking out six and walking a pair in a complete game effort. South Hadley scored all three of its runs in the top of the second inning.

Smith Academy 15, Mohawk Trail 5 (5) — The host Falcons scored four times in the first inning and led 12-2 after three innings en route to a 15-5 five-inning Hampshire League East victory over the Warriors on Tuesday in Hatfield.

Smith Academy scored three in the second and five more in the third inning.

The Warriors (2-7, 1-7) pushed three runs across in the fourth inning. Tyler Dubreuil drove in a pair of runs to go with a double, while Reuben Bassett and Matt Pollen each had a hit in the loss.

Mike Bassett went all five innings on the mound for the Falcons (6-3, 4-3), striking out six.

Hopkins 11, Turners Falls 0 (5) — The Thunder couldn’t solve the pitching of Jack Feltovic, who gave up just two hits and struck out 12 batters as the Golden Hawks earned an 11-0 Hampshire League West victory on the road in five innings on Tuesday. 

Alex Quesada had the lone two hits for Turners in the loss. Mason Lehtomaki pitched three innings and struck out a batter while Kainen Stevens also had a strikeout for the Thunder. 

Jacob Smith led the way with three hits and three RBIs in the win for Hopkins.
