HEATH — Following a May 7 election that saw 240 residents cast their ballots at the former elementary school, Heath has a few new faces on the Finance Committee and Selectboard.

According to results from Town Coordinator and outgoing Town Clerk Hilma Sumner, Susan Lively beat Karen Brooks in the race for a Selectboard seat by a vote of 140 to 99. Lively has served on different town committees in the past, most recently the Facilities Task Force. She is replacing outgoing member Gloria Fisher, who did not seek re-election following completion of a three-year term.

There were six candidates running for three open seats on the Finance Committee, five of whom are newcomers. Incumbent and current Finance Committee Chair Ned Wolf was re-elected with 115 votes, alongside new candidates Thomas Lively (Susan Lively’s husband), with 146 votes, and Robert McGahan with 112 votes. The candidates who were defeated are Dena Briggs, who received 109 votes; Mike Cucchiara with 107 votes; and Heather Hathwell with 102 votes.

There were also two write-in campaigns for the position of town clerk. Mary Sumner, a daughter-in-law to Hilma Sumner, beat Kate Peppard with 113 votes to 89.

Town voters also elected five members to various term lengths on Heath’s new Municipal Light Board, which was created through an Annual Town Meeting vote in 2020. The two candidates who were elected to the three-year seats are Arthur Schwenger and Ned Wolf. Elected to the two-year seats are Anne Emmet and David Gordon. Elected to the one-year seat is Bill Fontes.

Other elected positions are as follows:

■Board of Assessors, three-year term: Incumbent Robyn Provost-Carlson

■Board of Assessors, two-year term: Incumbent Anne Emmet

■Library trustees: Incumbent Deborah Porter

■Planning Board: Peter Chiaro
