COLRAIN — Write-in votes will likely decide the town’s next Selectboard member, as there are no candidates on the ballot running for the position in Monday’s election.

Polls will be open from noon to 7 p.m. at the Town Offices. Wearing masks and practicing social distancing protocols will be required.

Mark Thibodeau, who has been on the Selectboard for 12 years, is not running for re-election this year.

“I think it’s time to give someone else a turn at it,” Thibodeau said.

However, no one is on the ballot for the three-year Selectboard term.

Town Clerk Eileen Sauvageau said she does not know for sure if anyone is interested in running as a write-in candidate.

“I’ve heard rumblings,” she said simply.

All other positions on the ballot involve incumbents running unopposed for re-election. They are as follows:

■Moderator, three-year term: Megan McDonough

■Assessor, three-year term: James Slowinski

■Constable, three-year term: Melinda Herzig

■Griswold Memorial Library trustees, two seats with three-year terms: Betty Johnson and Nancy Turkle Rich
