HAWLEY — The annual town election will be held Monday, May 3, from 11:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 8 Pudding Hollow Road. There are no contested races.

The offices to be voted on are:

■Selectman/Board of Health, three-year term — Robert MacLean

■Moderator, one-year term — Lark Thwing (write-in)

■Assessor, three-year term — Jeffrey Carantit (write-in)

■Hawlemont Regional School District School Committee, three-year term — CourtneyAnn Hoyt

■Hawlemont School Committee, two-year term — Suzanne Crawford

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, three-year term — Suzanne Crawford

There is also a one-year term for auditor that is on the ballot, for which there are no candidates running, according to a notice from Town Clerk Pamela Shrimpton. The position can still be filled with write-in votes.

Absentee ballot applications can be picked up at Town Hall or mailed to residents by calling Shrimpton at 413-339-5518 (work) or 413-339-4091 (home), or emailing townclerk@townofhawley.com. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, April 27. Ballots will be due back by 7 p.m. on election day.

According to Shrimpton, a bake sale will also be held that day to benefit the Sons & Daughters of Hawley. Residents are asked to wear their masks to Town Hall. One person/family will be let in the building at a time.
