It’s become obvious that our political system is no longer about the people anymore. Party over people seems to be the theme of the decade. The masses continue to be run by the few. Our system has become rotten to the core and continues to get us nowhere.
We are kept equally divided so it makes it almost impossible for change. Our leaders know that if they can keep us divided, it makes it almost impossible for massive changes for the people. Our government doesn’t want mass change, they like things exactly the way they are.
So my suggestion is this: We try a whole new way of governing our collapsing system: New Zealand.
Now here’s a real country. If you are going to model a country, this is the one to go by. Not only does the government run smoothly (imagine that!) but their health care system is not a total scam, like some countries I know. They are also one of the few countries that have practically wiped out COVID-19 altogether. A lot less entitlement over there. Since they feel less entitled over there, they actually listened when it came to masks and social distancing.
We don’t like to be told what to do here. That’s why we lead the world in deaths and illnesses. We will continue to pay massively for our entitlement.
New Zealand takes the winner from both parties and makes them work together until they resolve the issues. Instead of constant infighting, they actually work together until they come up with a solution. It’s like bipartisanship all the time. I know — that would be way too much for this country to handle. It works great for them, so I think we should give it a try. I mean, anything is better than what we got going now. Constant clogging due to constant partisanship.
Face it, our system is rotten at this point. The fact that we still don’t even have universal health care is downright ridiculous. We continue to let the government stomp all over us. We the people never actually have any say. The masses are run by the few. We vote for change but it’s really up to the few to decide. What kind of system is this? Oh yeah, rotten.
So it’s time to step up, America. Try a bold new way, for a change. At least give it a shot. Pick people over party and greed, for a change. It’s sad that party has become the theme of the times. We the people have become the pawns. Nothing for no one, unless you’re rich, of course, then it’s tax cuts all around, right? So let’s push for a new way of governing where the people not only have the say, but we the people really matter.
