South Deerfield resident Shelby Scarborough, a senior educational studies and psychology major and a graduate of Deerfield Academy, was also named to the Dickinson College Dean’s List for the fall semester.

SOUTH DEERFIELD — The Frontier Regional School District School Committee voted unanimously Tuesday night to accept School Choice for the upcoming academic year.
“Based on what I’m seeing compared to previous years, the … applications are a bit lower,” Frontier Principal George Lanides said at Tuesday’s meeting.
Lanides said there are currently fewer than five applications for the seventh grade, roughly five for eighth and ninth grade, and 10 for 10th, 11th and 12th grade.
“Those numbers might tick up in terms of pending applications,” he said. “But I would hope we could still move forward with School Choice like we always do … because it’s definitely going to help us.”
