NORTHFIELD — The Northfield Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is seeking volunteer help from a licensed general contractor with the planning and design of an outdoor classroom pavilion on school grounds.
“This is a project that has been on our to-do list for a while now, and we would like to make it happen soon as it would provide a much-needed outdoor learning space for the kids,” reads a post on the PTO’s Facebook page.
According to the post, PTO members are in the early planning stages for the pavilion, which would be built near the school playground. An optimal timeline would see the planning process complete, and required approval from the town passed, in time for construction this summer.
Those who are interested in volunteering may email the Northfield Elementary School PTO at northfieldelementarypto@gmail.com.
