Library offering virtual ‘bad art’ exhibit

WARWICK — The Warwick Free Public Library is co-sponsoring “Museum of Bad Art: Tough Times — Having a Bad Day to Dystopian Apocalypse” via Zoom on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.

Since 1994, the Museum of Bad Art (MOBA) in Somerville has acquired works that deal with good times and bad. This presentation explores some of the ways artists react to disasters small and large, real and imagined.

Registration is required. Call or email the Warwick Free Public Library at 978-544-7866 or warwick@cwmars.org by 3 p.m. on the day of the event to register and receive a Zoom link.

Limited browsing by appointment begins

WARWICK — After more than seven months of offering curbside delivery only, the Warwick Free Public Library is offering limited browsing by appointment.

Browsing will be limited to one person or party at a time for 20-minute periods, Tuesdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Appointments will be made on the hour or half-hour, as will 20-minute computer station appointments.

Mask wearing and hand sanitizing will be required to enter the building; there will be a supply at the door.

Patrons are encouraged to continue to order items remotely and use curbside delivery. Given the uptick in COVID-19 cases in some Western Massachusetts communities, the library may decide to suspend browsing by appointment in the future to help protect public health.

To contact the library, email warwick@cwmars.org or call 978-544-7866 during operating hours: Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays from 1 to 8 p.m., Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
