SPRINGFIELD — The Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts is collaborating with the Connecticut Data Collaborative to support area organizations’ data storytelling by providing a Zoom workshop on the subject on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m.

According to a Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts press release, the workshop — which was originally scheduled for spring, prior to the outbreak of the pandemic — is part of its “Amplify” series. The series aims to build the capacity of area nonprofits and give women, girls and the organizations that serve them the tools they need to create change.

“Increasingly, non-profit professionals are expected to have the skills to interpret and communicate data,” said Sarah Eisele-Dyrli, data engagement specialist with the Connecticut Data Collaborative. “We look to data to inform our decisions, which requires an ability to communicate the results from data analysis in a way that is both relevant and actionable.”

The data storytelling workshop is open to non-profit professionals whose organizations serve women and girls. Tickets, which are $29, are available at bit.ly/33iAD4A.
