I wrote a while back about having to euthanize one of our pot belly piglets. I’d like to pass on some better news as an update.

Our last piglet had some medical concerns that we had to seek veterinary help for. Dr. Schmidt of the South Deerfield Veterinary Clinic and the staff of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts were instrumental in treating “Dreyfus.” She now is everyone’s favorite little pig.

One procedure was to have tiny splints put on her front legs for tendon support. This makes it look like she has pink ballerina shoes on!

I just like to pass on when good people do good things, and these people deserve a shout out. Dr. Schmidt still calls every day to see how his “patient” is doing.

Thank you.
