ORANGE — Groundskeepers at Central Cemetery say the lone headstone bearing an obscenity, which was reported earlier this week, was vandalized with that language years ago, according to police.

Orange Police Chief James Sullivan said he recently sent Sgt. Adam Cooley to the cemetery near the Wheeler Memorial Library to investigate after someone called authorities to report the vandalism. Sullivan said “the F-word” appears on the headstone in question.
