MILLERS FALLS — The damaged stairway at Highland Park is set to be repaired by early this fall.
The Montague Selectboard approved a contract last week with Sciaba Construction, the same company doing the reconstruction of Spinner Park in Turners Falls. The contract is funded with $18,200 appropriated at Annual Town Meeting earlier this year.
The work will not replace the stairway, but will only repair the handrails and steps that are damaged, said Town Planner Walter Ramsey. Work is scheduled to start this month, and is expected to be finished early this fall.
