GREENFIELD — Greenfield Public Library will offer a virtual presentation, “Planting for Pollinators,” by Recorder columnist Pat Leuchtman on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m.

Leuchtman will present a slide show and discuss which plants people can add to their gardens to encourage pollinator. There will be a question-and-answer period after the slide show.

An author and blogger who writes “Between the Rows” for The Recorder, she is a lifelong gardener. She and her husband recently moved to Greenfield and have been transforming their lawn into a pollinator garden that focuses on shrubs and other plants that like water.

When Leuchtman is not gardening, she is visiting with gardeners, plus writing about gardening, gardeners and the environment. She also reads and reviews gardening books.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library. It is free and open to the public. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link, so email the library at: librarian@greenfieldpubliclibrary.org.
